I am a social worker, nonprofit leader, educator, and researcher. Since 2006, I have worked in service to women surviving systemic oppression. I have experience with direct service, program design, nonprofit leadership, and teaching about justice in social work. Currently, I support the professional career growth of more than 800 staffers as the head of Learning at Safe Horizon in New York City.
I hold a bachelor’s in social work from Prairie View A&M University in Texas and a master’s in social work from Columbia University. I received my Ph.D. at the City University of New York. My research is explores artificial intelligence and racialized surveillance in the “child welfare” system.
